Daughter: (quietly working on math) Carole: (setting up Skype meetings for work) Son: I’m done my science chapter. I’m leaving the table. Carole: Nope, the schedule says 4pm to 5pm is school. Get back here! Son: Hahaha! I don’t want to start a new chapter.

Carole: Okay, fine. Just do something educational. Read. Anything. Son: Siri, what is educational? Carole: OMG, just read something! Or watch an educational Youtube video. Son: (plays Demi Lovato’s Diversity) Carole: Seriously?? Son: (eats yogurt directly from the container (no spoon))
